Meerut: Thirteen persons have been booked here in connection with murder of three youth, a senior police official said on Sunday. Main accused Hazi Ijlal and twelve others have been booked under the Gangster Act for allegedly murdering three youth on the intervening night of May 22 and 23, Alok Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Meerut told PTI. Mr.Singh said bodies of three youth Suneel Dhaka, Puneet Giri and Sudhir Ujjwal were recovered from neighbouring district Baghpat’s Baleni police station area. He added that three police personnel, SHO Kotwali, Station Officer Lisari Gate and Station Officer Kharkhauda have also been removed in connection with the case. Meanwhile, UP state Congress president Rita Bahuguna on Sunday met the family of one of the victims, Suneel Dhaka, and assured them justice. Ms. Bahuguna visited the family at their Jagrati Vihar residence and said she will meet DGP and Governor for immediate action against those guilty in the case. Ms. Bahuguna also met former Congress MLA Rajender Sharma here later in the day and demanded security and compensation for the families of the deceased. She said she will also write in this respect to Chief Minister Mayawati and demand thorough probe . PTI
