Government to go in appeal

PALAKKAD: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said here on Monday that the government would go in appeal against the High Court order on the takeover of the Golf Club.

The Chief Minister told reporters that he had made it clear at a press briefing after the Cabinet decided to take over the land that the takeover would not affect its functioning. The club’s members can play golf and the government will not in any manner interfere with its functioning.
