Nod for projects

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has given sanction for acquisition of 7.20 acres of land in Vadakkevila village (Kollam Corporation) for the Kollam Water Supply Scheme on a fast-track basis. Minister for Local Self-government Paloli Mohammed Kutty said the Corporation would carry out the scheme under the Kerala State Urban Development Programme, sourcing water from the Thenmala dam. The government also permitted acquisition of land for widening of the road from the Koorkancheri Hospital junction to Swaraj Round via Kuruppam road in the Thrissur Corporation limits on a fast-track basis, an official release said. — Special Correspondent
