New guard: Karnataka Additional Judges B. Srinivasa Gowda (left) and K.N. Keshava Narayana being administered the oath of office by Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph at Karnataka High Court in Bangalore on Monday. BANGALORE: B. Srinivasa Gowda and K.N. Keshava Narayana were on Monday sworn in as Additional Judges of the Karnataka High Court. The Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Cyriac Joseph, administered the oath of office at a special sitting of the High Court. The Karnataka State Bar Council Chairman, C. Shivakumar, welcomed the judges and assured them of the cooperation of the Bar in discharging their duties. Justice B. Srinivasa Gowda was born in Ambiganahalli, K.R. Pet, Mandya district on June 16, 1956. He obtained a degree in law from Vidyavardaka Law College in Mysore and enrolled as an advocate in 1982. He worked as a Government advocate. Justice K.N. Keshava Narayana was born in Keralapura in Arkalagud of Hassan district on April 10, 1952. He obtained a degree in law from University of Mysore and enrolled as an advocate in 1977. He was appointed as District and Sessions Judge in 1983. Several High Court judges, senior counsels, Presiding Officers of the lower judiciary, High Court officials and advocates were present on the occasion.
