Universities in Singapore: Full scholarship available for undergraduate studies in National University Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Both universities are owned by Singapore Government. NUS is one among the top 50 universities in the world and NTU is one of the world’s top 25 technology universities. The scholarships are offered to Indian students by SIA-NOL (Singapore Airlines-Neptune Orient Lines) under the condition that upon completi on of the course scholars are to serve a six year bond with SIA, NOL, their subsidiaries or other Singapore registered companies. They will get full salary and perks during this period. Students completing the Standard 12 (Science stream) or have completed standard 12 or equivalent are eligible. Students with excellent academic and co-curricular activity record have chances to get admission with scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation and living allowance and flight ticket. Subject areas include Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Computer, IT, Business, Art, Law, Journalism etc are available. Polytechnics in Singapore: 80% tuition grant is available for pursuing Diploma programmes in Government polytechnics (Temasek Polytechnic & Republic Polytechnic) in Singapore. Students will pay only 20% of the tuition fee. Scholars are to serve a three year bond with Singapore Government or other Singapore registered companies. This will not only enable the students to discharge their obligation to the Singapore public for the high subsidy of fees paid out of public fund, but also help them secure employment on completion of their studies. Interest free education loan is available in Singapore, if required. Specialisations such as Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Tele communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Micro-electronics, Intelligent Building Technology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Electronics, Nanotechnology, IT, Business Computing, Mobile and Wireless Computing etc are some of the preferred choices of Indian students and are of high demand in the global market. Postgraduate and undergraduate study options in UK, Ireland, Cyprus, Dubai, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand are also available.
