Excise haul

BANGALORE: The State Excise vigilance squad raided several places in the State and confiscated goods valued at Rs. 11,94,485 and arrested six persons for various offences during May.

Additional Commissioner of Excise (Intelligence) H.P. Erappa in a press release stated that the squads conducted raids in Bangalore rural, Mandya, Mysore, Hassan, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Shimoga, Uttara Kannada, Belgaum and Bidar districts. Seventeen general cases and seven serious cases have been booked against the arrested persons, Mr. Erappa stated. — Special Correspondent
