Fruit vendors hurt in A.P. bomb explosion

KADAPA: Two fruit vendors sustained injuries when a country-made bomb of low intensity exploded near the telephone exchange on Pulivendula road in Vempalle town on Monday.
A vegetable vendor, Subbamma, found a country-made bomb which resembled a ball of thread near a garbage dump and threw it near the pushcart of a fruit vendor Nanne Saheb, after enquiring whether it belonged to him. Stating that it was not his, Nanne Saheb kicked it when it exploded causing injuries to him and Babu who was standing there, police said. Vempalle sub-inspector Surendranath Reddy rushed to the spot and recovered an unexploded bomb.
