AI holiday packages get good response

NEW DELHI: Air India is offering over 400 comprehensive domestic and overseas holiday packages covering 150 cities in 22 States in India and 10 international destinations. It recently expanded the packages to include London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.
An Air India spokesperson said on Monday that the sale of holiday packages had shown an increase with 1110 packages being sold in the first 20 days of May, fetching a revenue of around Rs. 8.5 crore. In April, around 400 packages were sold. In 2007-08, the airline earned Rs. 74.10 crore from the sale of 13,120 holiday packages.
A package normally includes return airfares, airport transfers, accommodation, meals and local sightseeing at economical prices.
