Sify net declines

CHENNAI: Sify Technologies has reported a net profit of $0.12 million during the year ended March 31, 2008, compared to $6.25 million in the previous fiscal year. Exceptional items amounted to $3.97 million on account of legal fees. The net profit excluding this was $4.09 million. The net profit was under pressure due to lower margins as well as a notional loss incurred on account of strong rupee against the dollar. Revenue has risen by 11 per cent to $150.59 million. — Corporate Reporter
