Prachura bags title

BANGALORE: P.P. Prachura won the ICA Open rapid chess tournament which concluded at the State Youth Centre here on Sunday.

Although Prachura tied with Balkishan and Sharanu Bhagavathit for the first place, all finishing with five points, he was adjudged winner with a higher progressive score.

Final standings: 1. P.P. Prachura (5 pts); 2. Balkishan (5); 3. Sharanu Bhagavathi (5); 4. Gavi Siddayya (4.5); 5. Sushruta Reddy (4.5).
