SRINAGAR: Chairman of the hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani has been put under house since Sunday apparently to stop him from attending a function organised in Amritsar to commemorate “Operation Bluestar.” Confirming that he was not allowed to move out, Geelani said over phone that “now the government does not allow him to visit the Indian cities and it exposes its claims that it is a free and democratic country.” He said there were many other leaders demanding “freedom” but none of them was being stopped to visit the Indian cities.
