Monsoon advances

The Cyclone Warning Centre here on Monday informed that the south-west monsoon has further advanced. It has advanced into the remaining parts of south interior Karnataka, some parts of north interior Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, most parts of Rayalaseema, some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of west central Bay of Bengal. The northern limits of monsoon pass through Karwar, Ballary, Kurnool and Kakinada, Agartala and Dhurbi. Under its influence rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places over coastal AP during the next 48 hours.
