District panels to monitor project

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government on Monday appointed district-level coordination committees for implementation and monitoring of the Integrated Cooperative Development Project in Barmer, Kota, Dungarpur, Bikaner and Bharatpur districts.
An official release here said that the committees would be headed by Collectors of the respective districts while the General Managers, Project Implementation Team, would act their Member-Secretaries.
The ambitious project launched in the five districts is aimed at popularising cooperative activities among the villagers through self-help groups.
The release said the members of the committees would represent a broad section of stakeholders, including the government, profe-ssionls and the rural populace.
