Garnet-Leo match tied

Chennai: The first division match between Garnet RC and Leo CC ended in a tie in the Kancheepuram District Cricket Association league cricket match.

Balaji Shankar scored 47 for Leo in the chase, but the side was dismissed in its 28 overs.

The scores: First division: Garnet RC 162 for eight in 28 overs (Rajesh four for 37) tied with Leo CC 162 in 28 overs (Balaji Shankar 47, S. Jayachandran four for 35).

Flakt India RC 124 in 30 overs lost to Krishnaraj RC 125 for seven in 25 overs (R. Srinivasan 40).

Friends XI 149 for eight in 28 overs (Harikrishnan 45) lost to Garnet RC 150 for seven in 28 overs.

Second division: Venugopal Club 130 for nine in 20 overs (P.S. Raghavan four for 42) bt Kasturi Estates RC 128 for eight in 20 overs (Vigneshraj 44, R. Krishnamurthy six for 32).

Chrompet CC 142 for seven in 18 overs beat Vijay CC 128 for five in 18 overs (Gopinath 40).

Mani Memorial CC 129 for five in 20 overs beat Air India RC 72 in 16.4 overs (J. Jayakumar seven for 28).

Central Bank of India RC 100 for seven in 20 overs lost to Asian Sports Club 101 for three in 14 overs (R. Prasanna Narayanan 50 not out).

Jain Combines CC 72 for seven in 20 overs lost to Prahalad CC 76 for one in 10.2 overs (Ajay Pothan 44 not out).

Areva T&D RC 152 for five in 20 overs (D. Vijayakumar 54, V. Vishnukumar 40 not out) beat Chrompet CC 112 for nine in 20 overs (G. Vinoth Kumar six for 35).

Fine Star CC 149 for two in 17 overs (Ravindra Babu 59, K. Arjunan 42) bt Areva T & D RC 107 for five in 20 overs.

Mani Memorial CC 155 for four in 20 overs (S. Sunilraj 51 not out, M. Rajesh 66) beat Engine Valves RC 137 for six (Narayanan four for 27).

Royal Gems CC 147 in 18.3 overs (S. Kumar four for 40) beat Venugopal Club 134 for eight in 19.2 overs (Sivakumar 40).

Munusamy sizzles

Munusamy scored an unbeaten 78 not out and took three wickets to guide Club Mahindra to a 29-run win over Sify in the quarterfinals of the Seventymm Corporate Twenty20 cricket tournament organised by VS Sports Network here.
