SBI officers’ strike on June 6

HYDERABAD: Members of the SBI Officers’ Federation, Hyderabad circle, will observe a day’s strike on June 6, along with their colleagues across the country, to press for several ‘long pending’ demands and opposing among others ‘unilateral’ decisions regarding implementation of circle re-design.

D. Krishna Kumar, general secretary, said in a statement here on Tuesday that the nine demands included improvements in the pension scheme, reimbursement of additional rent to officers staying in their own houses (self lease), recruitment of ‘adequate’ officers. He said the strike would be observed by 60,000 officers in all the 10,000 odd-branches across the country.
