Applications for re-totalling, supplementary examinations invited

PUDUCHERRY: The Directorate of School Education has called for applications from SSLC/Matriculation students for re-totalling of marks. The applications will be issued from June 3 to 6 at the office of the Chief Education Officer.

The directorate, in a press release, said that students and private candidates, who had failed in three or lesser subjects in SSLC examinations, could apply for the special supplementary examinations. The examination would be held in June/July.

School students could obtain the applications from the respective schools from June 3 to 6.

Filled-in applications, along with an examination fee of Rs. 125 for one to three subjects, should be submitted to the respective school principals by 10 a.m. on June 6, the release said.

Private candidates, who had appeared for the examination in March 2008, could obtain the applications from their exam centres. For private candidates who had appeared for the examination before March 2008, applications would be issued at the Examination division, Office of Chief Education Officer, Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Educational complex, till June 6.

The candidates should send in their applications along with examination fee to Regional Assistant Director, Government Examinations Regional Assistant Director office, 9/8, Attrankarai Vedhi, Pudupalayam, Cuddalore – 1 through registered post before June 6.

School principals and headmasters should submit the applications along with the examination fees in a single receipt to the Examination division, office of the Chief Education Officer, Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Educational Complex. For further information on examinations, call 2207286.
