Farmer ends life

Sirsi: A betel nut farmer in the taluk allegedly ended his life on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Hegde (33) of Bhavikai. He left a death note in which he stated he owed more than Rs. 6 lakh loan including compound interest. He was a small holder of land, sources said. This is the second farmer’s death in the taluk in a less than five days.
