TDB denies reports

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board has refuted reports to the effect that it is planning to melt the ornaments used for adorning the deities in the temples under it. In a rejoinder issued here on Tuesday the TDB described the reports as totally baseless. The items which the TDB was thinking of melting and converting into bars included the gold and silver offerings made by the devotees.
