Rebels to ‘occupy’ Telangana Bhavan

Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: Dissident TRS legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy said on Tuesday that the breakaway group of 10 MLAs would soon elect a TRS legislature party leader and occupy the Telangana Bhavan along with 50,000 supporters. They would elect a party president too, as theirs was the largest TRS group in the Assembly.

Mr. Reddy termed the resignation of K.Chandrasekhar Rao as yet another drama to divert the attention of the people from the dismal performance of his party. He demanded that Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao apologise to the people of Telangana for weakening their cause. He also sought to know how the meeting of Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy different from that of the association of the dissidents with Dr. Reddy.

“How can KCR brand us as traitors of Telangana for meeting the Chief Minister and remain silent when his nephew meets YSR?” he asked. He said Mr. Harish Rao could ‘backstab’ KCR.
