IT firm to offer 550 jobs

PUDUKOTTAI: Nineteen Hour IT (NHIT) Private Ltd, a US-based ITES company, has commenced operation in the district.

Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests S. Regupathi inaugurated the company’s branch. In his address, Mr. Regupathi observed that opening of ITES companies in Pudukottai would generate employment opportunities of international standards.

The company would offer training for college students in information technology, soft skills, BPO and medical transcription. It has plans to ink pact with colleges to offer training programmes in soft skills.

The branch has planned to provide 200 jobs in the first phase and 350 in the second phase at its software development centre and BPO. Trainees at the branch would be recruited.
