Cathay Pacific launches flights from Chennai

CHENNAI: Cathay Pacific Airways announced on Tuesday the commencement of its flights from Chennai to Hong Kong.

Addressing presspersons here, Tom Wright, General Manager, (India, Middle East, Africa and Pakistan) of the Carrier said the airlines would operate four passenger flights a week between these two destinations.

The first flight from Hong Kong arrived at Chennai International Airport at 0120 hours in the morning and departed Chennai for Hong Kong at 0256 hours.

Mr. Wright said Cathay Pacific’s sister airline Dragonair was also scheduled to commence its India operations from July with daily flights to Bengalure. Once Dragonair was operational the total number of flights would increase to 35, he said.
