There also was a reshuffle among the academic faculties of the university and the selected teachers took charge of their academic and administrative duties in the university management. The outgoing PG Council chairman, Bauribandhu Kar handed over the charge to Mr. Panigrahy on Monday. Mr. Kar would now be the director of the distance education cell of the university. After taking charge Mr. Panigrahy said his main aim would be to bring in academic discipline in the campus. It may be noted that the syndicate of the university has decided to follow ‘school system’ in the university to regroup its different departments. The university would have seven different schools.
