Demolition time: Workers engaged by the district administration demolishing an encroachment on the Special Armed Police camp at Peroorkada in the city on Tuesday. Thiruvananthapuram: Revenue authorities on Tuesday demolished an encroachment on the premises of the Special Armed Police (SAP) camp at Peroorkada. Acting on a complaint from the police camp, Revenue officials led by Tahsildar C.R. Krishnakumar inspected the premises. They found that a strip of land on the rear of the camp measuring 15 cents had been encroached into by four neighbouring houses. A compound wall had come up on a portion of the encroached land. The surveyor accompanying the Revenue officials measured the land to assess the extent of encroachment. Mr. Krishnakumar said the house owners cooperated with the officials. Later, workers engaged by the Revenue Department demolished the wall. The area was measured and survey stones installed to demarcate the boundary.
