Uniforms distributed to children

HELPING THE NEEDY: Deputy Mayor R. Sathyabhama distributing educational aid to children in Chennai recently.

CHENNAI: The Anbhagam International Street Children Educational Development Centre celebrated the School Enrolment Day here recently, distributing uniforms, bags and notebooks to the poor children. Chennai Deputy Mayor R. Sathyabhama appreciated the Anbhagam International for supporting the children of the weaker sections. She advised the children to study well. She distributed the educational aid and uniforms. Anbhagam International director John Bosco said the centre had been conducting evening classes for children belonging to slum dwellers at Taramani, Velachery and Chindatripet. It was also conducting evening classes and counselling for the children and their parents, besides medical camps.
