One woman killed, 9 injured in accident

TUMKUR: A woman died on the spot and nine persons suffered injuries when the driver of the goods van they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle at Hanumanthanagiri, on the Bangalore-Pune National Highway (no.4) on Tuesday.

Police said Shantamma (25), wife of Dhanesh, died on the spot. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals here. The police have registered a case and are investigating. — Staff Correspondent
