HYDERABAD: A good all-round performance by Charan, who claimed three for 21 and then struck an unbeaten 61, helped St. John’s Cricket Academy record a nine-wicket win over Daniel Cricket Academy in the under-11 category of the Persis Gold Cup cricket tournament here on Tuesday. The scores: Daniel CA 122 for six (Anurag 45, Charan three for 21) lost to St. John’s CA 123 for one (Charan 61 not out). Crown CC 93 (Maher five for 16, Swamy three for 28) lost to Marredpally PG 94 for four. Cosmopolitan winsCosmopolitan Club defeated Boys Union 3-1 in the B-Division hockey league championship at AOCC Grounds here. Dushyant and Afroze struck once each in the first-half. In the second session, Somesh scored off a fine solo effort. For the loser, Vamsi reduced the margin. Tennis tournamentG.
