Groundnut seed at subsidised rates

TIRUPATI: The government has allotted to the Chittoor district groundnut seeds to be supplied to the farmers at subsidised rates for the season.
Announcing this at a meeting in Chandragiri after formally launching the supply, G. Aruna Kumari, Minister for Medical Education and Health Insurance, said that besides groundnut seeds the department also has been asked to supply to the farmers at subsidised rates pulses and Dimethane required to chemically treat seeds.
Adarsa Rythulu
The Minister wanted the ‘Adarsa Rythulu’ to meet the farmers in their fields and guide them on adopting the healthy agricultural practices and also explain the various measures the government was taking for their welfare. She said the government also sanctioned a polytechnic to the Chandragiri constituency to meet the needs of the local boys and girls.
