Clarifications

The strap line under the story with a headline “Relief package for farmers” in these columns on Wednesday should be read as Rs. 1,100 crore.

In the ‘Briefly” column, the date for the election of a vacancy to the Legislative Council was mentioned as June 6 while it is actually June 26.

The headline and text of a news item about three engineers in the ACB net mentioned that they belonged to APCPDCL. While two of the engineers were working in Guntur which falls under the jurisdiction of AP Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd , the one working in Eluru belonged to AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd.
