Strategies to improve prospects to be chalked out State unit to hold brainstorming session on June 9 HYDERABAD: Armed with the mandate given by the national executive of BJP to prepare aggressively for the general elections next year, the State unit of the party will hold a brainstorming session here on June 9 to draw the roadmap. The party’s State office-bearers and national leaders, including M. Venkaiah Naidu, Bangaru Laxman and V. Rama Rao will attend the meeting. Two representatives of the Central leadership Prakash Jawdekar and Satish would also be present, BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya stated at a news conference here on Wednesday. He said the meeting would work out a strategy to substantially push up the party’s chances of winning the elections. On June 8, the State Election Management Committee of the party headed by former MLA K. Haribabu would also meet. Poll verdictDiscussing the results of the byelections, Mr. Dattatreya said the verdict was a mixed response given by voters. Anticipating such a result, the BJP strategically did not want to figure among parties that came under the scanner of people. The BJP achieved a moral victory in Musheerabad Assembly constituency, the lone seat that the party contested, as it lost by a slender margin.
