MACTA Federation for talks
Staff Reporter
KOCHI: MACTA Federation, the apex body of 19 unions in Malayalam film industry, on Wednesday said that it was ready for talks with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) to resolve the ongoing tussle between director Tulasidas and actor Dileep.
A meeting of the federation attended by about 350 members decided not to cooperate with Mr. Dileep’s movies unless the issue is resolved amicably. The federation and AMMA had locked horns after the actor refused to act in a movie to be directed by Mr. Tulasidas. The director had alleged that Mr. Dileep had taken advance money for acting in the movie, but later backed off from the project. Mr. Dileep had said that he refused to act in the movie, as the project got delayed for want of a proper script.
