Indian Bank raises FCNR (B), NRE rates

CHENNAI: Indian Bank has raised the interest rates on FCNR (B) and NRE deposits with effect from June 1. According to a release, the rate for FCNR (B) deposits in U.S. dollars has been raised to 2.41 per cent from 2.33 per cent for deposits of one year and above but less than three years. The rates for other maturities also have been raised. For NRE term deposits, the interest rate has been increased to 3.16 per cent from 3.08 per cent for one year and above but less than two years. The rates for other maturities have also been raised. — Corporate Reporter
