Shooting of film ‘Idea Madyaara… Nagalikke’ launched in Bellary

BELLARY: If nothing else, the very title “Idea Madyaara… Nagalikke”, the maiden venture by Yeshwant Sardeshpande of “All the Best” fame, will drive you to the movie theatre.

After achieving success in producing hilarious dramas, including “All the Best”, “Sahi re Sahi” and “Rashichakra”, Mr. Sardeshpande will now produce a Kannada film with the help of his friends in Bellary. The subject of the film revolves around a cultured family, the complications faced by the couple after an inter-caste marriage and the way they overcome obstacles. The film has a social appeal, Mr. Sardeshpande said.

“Making use of my experience in theatre, TV and cinema, and also that of my friends, Chandru, cinematographer, Ramesh Desai, art director and others, we have ventured to bring out a highly entertaining film,” he said.

On Thursday, M. Nagaraja Rao, veteran journalist, switched on the camera to mark the beginning of the shooting of the film at the residence of Havinal Sharanappa. Leela, wife of Mr. Sharanappa, sounded the clapperboard.

Chornur Kotrappa, Assistant Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture, was present. The film, including four song sequences, will be shot in and around Bellary.

The script, screenplay and direction is by Yeshwant. The producers include Sanjay Betageri and Ramesh Patil.

The cast includes the protagonist Poorna Chandra Tejaswi; Malati, wife of Mr. Sardeshpande; Sunetra Pandit and Navyashree.

The music has been scored by Kiran Godkhindi, brother of well-known flautist Praveen Godkhindi.
