LUCKNOW: A chief engineer and four executive engineers of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation have been suspended by the State Government for laxity in implementing an electrification project in the Bundelkhand region. ComplaintsThe action followed a number of complaints received by Energy Minister Ramveer Upadhyaya and senior officials about the quality of equipment that had been used in the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Project in the region. NamesThose suspended are Chief Engineer (Jhansi Region) Trilok Nath Singh and Executive Engineers Jagmal Singh, Somendra Pratap Singh, Dinesh Kumar Gupta and Arvind Pal Singh.
