Tension over flag hoisting

Coimbatore: The Congress District President, V.M.C. Manoharan hoisted the party flag at many places in Eachanari, Sundarapuram and Coimbatore on Wednesday amid police protection following opposition from the other group to the newly appointed district president.

However, the rebel group blocked the Congress president on the bypass road and raised slogans.
