Campaign to introduce no-frills account

TIRUVANNAMALAI: About 500 persons including customers, housewives and other members of the public attended a campaign organised by the Union Bank of India (UBI), Modaiyur Branch, at Devikapuram village - the adopted village of the bank - in Tiruvannamalai district on Wednesday.

The campaign, meant to popularise the ‘no-frills’ savings bank account offered by the bank for its rural customers, would end on Friday. Jasmin, Senior Manager, office of the General Manager, UBI, Chennai, and Karunakaran, Manager in the General Manager’s office in Chennai, explained the features of the account.
