High Court admits petition

Special Correspondent

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday admitted a writ petition challenging the proscription of People’s March, a magazine edited by Govindankutty who was recently arrested on charges of sedition before being released on bail.

Justice S. Siri Jagan while admitting the petition issued notice to the State government, the Ernakulam District Collector and other respondents.

Takeover of resort

Acting on another petition, the court allowed the government to take over the property of Oak Field Resorts in Munnar. However, the court said the resort building should be kept intact.
