JAIPUR: The All-India Congress Committee has filled vacancies of District Congress Committee presidents in five districts of Rajasthan by appointing new incumbents, including a woman, to the posts. The appointments were made on Thursday by the party general secretary in charge of the State, Mukul wasnik, on the recommendations of Pradesh Congress Committee president C. P. Joshi. The Congress has 38 DCCs in Rajasthan and a few of them remaining vacant for quite some time had been a matter of concern among the Congressmen in an election year. Former Haj Committee chairman Saleem Kagzi is the new DCC chief for Jaipur (City) while Jasraj is the Ajmer (City) chief. Savitri Saini, former chairperson of the Dausa Municipal Council, is the new district president for Dausa. Nizamuddhin is the nominee for the Baran DCC. Working presidentThe post of Alwar DCC president, which fell vacant after the appointment of Bhanwar Jitendra Singh as AICC secretary some time back, has been filled by the appointment of Ramesh Kinchi as the working president.
