KCR stays afloat
Last week’s byelections indeed turned out to be the point of discussion for various interesting developments their results have unfolded. Be it the thumping majority of the Congress in Khairatabad, its narrow win in Musheerabad, the convincing victory of the Telugu Desam Party in Secunderabad or the trouncing of the TRS in all the three city constituencies, and of course, the positive
impact the Lok Satta has made on voters by garnering significant number of votes.
With the byelection results linked to the possibility of Telangana region going its separate way, many heaved a sigh of relief that the development plank finally swayed the voters. But then, TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s refusal to come before media for three whole days and speculation whether he will really step down as president, kept the T-factor firmly in the centre stage. The TRS leader certainly knows how to hog the limelight.
