Eager wait

After a particularly harrowing summer that had mercury levels soaring like never before, the city desperately waits with its eyeballs turned skywards. However, monsoon does not seem to be in a hurry to shower its bounty here. The past three days have seen people reeling under relentless heat and many began wondering if longer summer months are the effect of global warming.

However, the celebration of World Environment Day went on as usual with its theme ‘kick the habit’ (carbon emitting habit obviously!).

Many enthusiasts visited the sites of celebrations in their SUVs and one can bet none of them would have been happy with the hike in petroleum prices.
