Man held for harassing girl

The Mambalam women police have arrested a man on charges of harassing a girl.

M. Murugasen (54), who had lured a tenant in his house in Kannamapet New Street with promises of getting her admission in Class XI, had allegedly harassed her repeatedly. He had also cheated her father of Rs.30,000, according the police.

The girl, accompanied by her father, lodged a police complaint against Murugasen, who was arrested on Wednesday night.
