Body found

Partly charred body of a 30-year-old woman was spotted in the farm fields adjacent to Peddavaram-Vedadri road near here on Thursday. The victim’s identity was yet to be established.

Passers-by saw the body around 12.30 p.m. and informed the police. The woman was of dark complexion and the police found a green colour saree, a blouse and bangles of the same colour on the body. The police suspected that the woman could be a daily wage worker and possibly a migrant.

Though the police suspected that some miscreants might have killed her somewhere and took the body to the fields to set it on fire. A case was registered and an inquest was conducted.
