Death warrant, says Advani

Pune: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani on Thursday described the fuel price hike as the signing of the “death warrant” of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre.

“The measure is a result of economic mismanagement of the UPA government and an opportunistic alliance at the Centre,” he said while talking to journalists on the sidelines of a function here.

Mr. Advani said the Rs.50 increase in the price of LPG cylinders showed an “insensitive” attitude of the government towards the common man. — PTI
