Left calls for Bihar bandh

Special Correspondent

PATNA: The Left parties have called for a Bihar bandh on June 10 to protest against the hike in prices of petroleum products.

The CPI, CPI(M), CPI(M-L) and the Forward Bloc held a meeting and charged the Centre with failure to contain the runaway inflation. They decided to hold a torchlight procession on June 9 ahead of the bandh.

West Bengal Urban Development Minister Ashok Bhattacharya spent the whole day in the Darjeeling Mail stationed at the Kishanganj railway station due to the bandh called by the Left parties in West Bengal.
