Rupee sheds 13 paise


MUMBAI: Persistent capital outflows weighed on the rupee which on Thursday tumbled by 13 paise to 42.90/91 against dollar

In lacklustre trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee unit opened lower to quote at 42.92/93 and went down to 42.9750 at one stage. It recovered partially to close at 42.90/91.

Fears of negative impact of the hike in fuel prices mainly weighed on the rupee, dealers said. — PTI
