Jammu: The Jammu district magistrate has imposed a ban on display of posters and screening of films promoting obscenity in the city. The decision was taken at a meeting of officers and cinema hall owners held on Thursday under the chairmanship of district magistrate, an official spokesman said. The cinema hall owners will be required to get approval of the additional district magistrate 48 hours before exhibiting any film. No poster, advertisement, sketch, synopsis or programme of a film which may be injurious to the morality or encourage or incite any form of crime or lead to disorder or offend the feeling of any section of the public, may be displayed.
