World Environment Day celebrated

NEW DELHI: The New Delhi Municipal Council celebrated World Environment Day earlier this week with its chairman Parimal Rai launching a tree plantation drive at Talkatora Garden. The importance of trees in maintaining the ecological balance was emphasised on the occasion. NDMC member Ashok Ahuja said: “The Environment Day celebrations will continue with extensive plantations in and around parks, gardens of the Capital.”
