Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Two women were killed and 19 injured in an accident involving three vehicles on the National Highway at Kazhakuttam early on Friday. The police identified the deceased as Seenath, 24, and Sainaba, 47, both residents of Kothamangalam. The van in which they were travelling had rammed a sand-laden lorry. The victims were part of a group of pilgrims bound for Beemapally. Another set of people bound for the Thiruvananthapuram airport were injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed the rear of the van involved in the accident. The injured car passengers were identified as John, 61, and Rachel, 52, of Chettikulangara.
