Hindu Munnani functionary stabbed

KARUR: Some persons allegedly stabbed the Hindu Munnani district president and advocate A. M. Senthil Kumar of Karur while he was at work here on Friday.
It is said that he was mediating on an issue relating to the marriage of a couple from Thanthonrimalai here when in a fit of rage, the bride’s relatives stabbed Mr. Senthil Kumar who suffered injuries in his hand.
Immediately, he got treated at a private hospital here and preferred a complaint on the basis of which the police are on the lookout for six persons.
Taking note of the attack on Mr. Senthil Kumar, the bar association called for a boycott of the courts for two days from Friday. The bar sought immediate arrest of the six persons who attacked Mr. Senthil Kumar.
