CBI experts looking for evidence in Noida

NEW DELHI: A forensic team of the Central Bureau of Investigation searched the sewer lines around the Sector 25 residence of young Aarushi Talwar in Noida on Friday looking for evidence.

However, nothing significant was found.

Labourers were employed in the morning to search for any metal objects in the slush of the house.

The operation went on till late in the afternoon, but without much success.

On Thursday, Aarushi’s father Dr. Rajesh Talwar, who is the prime accused in the double murder case, was subjected to a second round of polygraph test before being produced in a special Ghaziabad court that sent him to 14 days’ judicial custody.

The answers given by Dr. Talwar are now being examined by psychologists, who would submit their report in a couple of days.

The CBI is also going through the post-mortem reports of both Aarushi and the Talwars’ domestic help Hemraj trying to determine who was killed first.

Dr. Talwar’s bail application is expected to come up for hearing on Saturday.

His wife Nupur and other relatives have been claiming that he is innocent and had been framed by the Noida police.

The CBI also contacted former police officer K. K. Gautam for details about the circumstances in which Hemraj’s body was discovered by him.
