Retired employees told to check for lacunae in their applications Employees should send proposals six months before retirement date Sangareddy: K. Mukundam, Deputy Accountant-General of AGAP, has said that pensioners can receive immediate and regular pension after retirement if they fill and submit the required forms in time as per directions. He was addressing the district pension committee here at the Zilla Parishad conference hall on Friday. During the meeting, he reviewed the status of pension applications pending with different departments. He cleared 15 cases out of the 96 pending in 19 departments. These cases had been pending from 2004 due to different reasons. He announced that the remaining cases would be solved within two to three weeks. He directed retired persons to rectify the lacunae in the applications so that they could be processed once again. Enlisting the reasons for the delay in processing the forms, he said that it could be because of the delay in submission of forms, lack of no dues certificates, court cases, discrepancies in pay fixation, audit-related objections and failure to repay loans taken and interest paid. He advised government employees on the verge of retirement to send proposals for pension at least six months ahead of the date of retirement. He assured that pension could be approved within 45 days if all the documents were in place.
